PFA Ireland & Sports Direct Announce New Partnership

PFA Ireland and Sports Direct announce a new partnership which will see Sports Direct becoming an official partner and football boots provider for PFA Ireland members in the League of Ireland.

Sports Direct are aligned with the PFA Ireland in the view that our athletes are at the centre of our sport. This partnership will see all PFA Ireland members provided with a voucher that will allow them to purchase boots in-store or online at Sports Direct.

We are thrilled to be part of the PFA Ireland journey and giving players access to our world class offering of football boots from top global brands like Nike, Adidas, Puma and more”

PFA Ireland General Secretary Stephen Mc Guinness said “We are delighted to partner with Sports Direct to be able to provide a joint-funded voucher for our members. Sports Direct are great supporters of Irish football, and this partnership, which supports the players, shows their continued commitment to our game.

Football boots are a significant cost to players each year and is something we have been keen to try to support them with, so we are delighted that Sports Direct were so open to the idea when we brought it to them.”

PFA Ireland Chairperson Brendan Clarke said “I would like to thank Sports Direct for coming on board with the PFA Ireland to support players. This partnership will be of great benefit to our members across the League of Ireland. It is greatly appreciated by the players. ”
