Irish finish third in FIFPro Tournament
PFA Ireland beat Norway 1-0 in the 3rd place play-off following an opening game penalty shoot-out defeat to Sweden.
The annual FIFPro Winter Tournament took place at the Vallhall Arena in Oslo, Norway, and the 2016 event opener saw PFA Ireland held to a scoreless draw by Sweden. The game was decided by a penalty shoot-out; Eric Foley, Sean Russell and Conor Earley all scored, but Kevin Devaney had his effort saved.
Norway were the opposition in the 3rd place play-off which was settled by a single Marco Chindea goal.
